AI Principal Consultant, AI Services

Location: United States; remote

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 per year in on-target earnings, including base salary and any applicable target bonus.

What you will do

• Lead complex AI and digital transformation engagements from initial diagnostics through roadmap design, implementation planning, and execution support.
• Identify and prioritize AI opportunities, assess organizational readiness, and develop business cases, value-tracking approaches, and transformation roadmaps.
• Facilitate executive workshops and align senior stakeholders across business, technology, data, risk, and operations.
• Partner with architects, engineers, data specialists, and security and governance experts to define pilots, success metrics, adoption plans, and scale-up pathways.
• Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary consulting teams while maintaining quality standards and reusable delivery methods.
• Support proposals, solution design, account growth, AI offerings, thought leadership, and practice development.

Requirements

• 7–12+ years of experience in management consulting, technology advisory, digital transformation, enterprise technology, AI strategy, or related client-facing roles.
• Experience leading client engagements, workstreams, or project teams with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong structured problem-solving, executive communication, facilitation, synthesis, and presentation skills.
• Experience with AI strategy, digital transformation, use-case prioritization, business cases, process redesign, automation, operating models, AI governance, or technology-enabled transformation.
• AI and technology fluency sufficient to work with business leaders, CIO and CTO organizations, architects, engineers, data teams, and risk or governance stakeholders.
• Ability to lead teams, coach talent, manage timelines, and produce client-ready work; hands-on machine learning engineering and deep coding experience are not required.

Nice to have

• Background in top-tier management consulting, Big Four advisory, technology consulting, enterprise transformation, or a similar professional services environment.
• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Experience with AI, data, cloud, software delivery, MLOps, responsible AI, or enterprise technology platforms.
• Experience taking clients from strategy and roadmap development through pilot delivery, implementation, adoption, and value realization.
• Business development, proposal development, account growth, or practice-building experience.
