• Translate strategic vision into high-impact visual stories and prototypes for AI-driven travel experiences.
• Lead through making, applying exceptional UI and visual design craft with high-fidelity prototyping.
• Advance next-generation interfaces by envisioning new paradigms for conversational, multimodal, and adaptive AI experiences.
• Design for agentic and mixed-initiative interactions, creating visually intuitive feedback mechanisms.
• Evolve Expedia’s design system to support AI-native patterns, adaptive layouts, and intelligent interface behaviors.
• Integrate data-informed design principles to ensure personalization, prediction, and automation in UI systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Cognitive Science, or related design/technical field.
• Portfolio demonstrating exceptional UI and visual design craft through modern, high-quality digital product interfaces.
• Expertise defining and evolving UI patterns and interface-level design systems, particularly for intelligent or adaptive interaction models.
• Mastery in visual design, UI layout, component design, and high-fidelity prototyping, with strong proficiency across UX, system design, and motion fundamentals.
• Experience designing AI-powered interfaces with clear strategies for state management, system feedback, and multimodal interaction patterns, including prototyping with LLMs and prompt engineering.
