Senior Software Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing the next generation platform for Search and hirify.global AI with an accent on discovering, storing, and processing Web content. Focus on creating ML and AI models, designing near-real-time indexing, and leveraging AI in platform and backend solutions.

Location: Redmond, United States. Employees are expected to work from the office at least four days per week if they live within a 50-mile commute of a designated hirify.global office in the U.S.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define user requirements and drive the development of design documents.
• Create, implement, optimize, and refactor code to improve software performance, maintainability, and ROI.
• Leverage subject-matter expertise to guide project plans and release plans.
• Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor systems for degradation and restore services when needed.
• Seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends and technical solutions to enhance product availability and reliability.
• Build Big Data pipelines, create ML and AI models, and design methods for near-real-time indexing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) OR building highly scalable backend systems (e.g., distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud-native services).
• Ability to meet hirify.global, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
