What you will do

• Develop a highly reliable and scalable enterprise data platform to orchestrate data acquisition, preparation, and delivery for model training.
• Implement new features such as data lineage, visibility, and monitoring to improve data quality and model performance.
• Collaborate with peers on system architecture, design, and comprehensive code reviews.
• Build prototypes to validate key design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
• Own all stages of software engineering and product development from conception to delivery.
• Solve complex business problems using first principles thinking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a similar scientific discipline (or 2+ years of professional experience).
• 1+ years of experience in application development, software engineering, data engineering, or data science.
• Must be based in Palo Alto, CA.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to concisely and accurately share knowledge.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python, Rust, Java, C#, Scala, Go, or similar languages.
• Frontend experience with Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Ray, AI training, and orchestration.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Iceberg, Clickhouse, Grafana, Superset, or similar data tools.
• Understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and frameworks.
