TL;DR

Product Owner (Neftex): Managing and evolving a subset of the product roadmap, backlog, and delivery of solutions within the Neftex product family with an accent on cross-functional collaboration, customer engagement, and product commercialisation. Focus on defining features, prioritizing development, and guiding the product lifecycle while supporting training and market adaptation.

Location: Onsite in Abingdon, England, United Kingdom

What you will do

  • Own and evolve the product roadmap aligned with business goals and customer needs.
  • Define and prioritize the team backlog including user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage meets acceptance standards.
  • Adapt backlog based on market feedback and leadership direction.
  • Partner with Delivery Management and Engineering to define scope and resource needs.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain the business case and risk log for the product.
  • Drive product commercialisation strategy and execution.
  • Translate long-term vision into quarterly and sprint-level objectives with domain experts.

Requirements

  • BSc or higher in Geoscience, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in software development environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Strong customer-facing skills including presentations and product demos.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across domains and functions.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master.
  • Programming experience in C++, Python, or similar languages.
  • Technical writing and documentation skills including use case creation.
