Principal Fullstack Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Principal Fullstack Engineer (Fintech): Building and optimizing a Java Spring/Springboot microservice backend and Angular UI for a new Options Overlay Product with an accent on API design, database performance, and scalability. Focus on microservices architecture, solving complex concurrency challenges, and ensuring system reliability under heavy traffic.

Location: Hybrid (requiring onsite work every other week, M-F, in a Fidelity office in Westlake, TX). US work authorization is required, as Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship.

What you will do

• Lead by coding and mentor a team of developers.
• Collaborate with architects and business partners.
• Build Java Spring/Springboot microservice backend and Angular UI.
• Develop a cutting-edge platform for a new Options Overlay Product in Asset Management Technology.
• Contribute to a distinct project within Fidelity's Investment Frontier Neighborhood.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of software application development experience.
• Extensive experience with Java Spring/Springboot, Angular(RXJS), and SQL.
• Ability to apply standard processes including Unit testing, Automation, ATDD, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
• US work authorization is required (Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship).

Nice to have

• Financial/asset management industry experience.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
