TL;DR
FP&A Analyst, Commercial (AdTech) (Financial Planning and Analysis): Providing data-driven insights, performance reporting, and net revenue forecasting for commercial teams with an accent on financial modelling, variance analysis, and executive reporting. Focus on analysing large datasets, identifying revenue opportunities, and translating business performance into actionable recommendations using Excel, Looker, SQL, and Python.
Location: Toronto, 8 Spadina Ave; hybrid schedule with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Salary: CAD $80,000–98,000 base salary per year

What you will do
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership and business partners to support decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyse business performance, explain variance against plan, and recommend actions to achieve business objectives.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial and non-financial performance reporting for executive and leadership teams.
- Own the net revenue forecast for commercial teams and support budgeting, modelling, and variance analysis.
- Support initiatives that increase revenue, improve operational performance, and create business value using internal reporting tools.
- Collaborate with global teams and lead or contribute to cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Accounting, with 2–3 years of relevant experience or equivalent training and experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Looker, SQL, or similar tools and languages is preferred.
- Ability to research, interpret, and clearly present data-driven insights to business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, project management, problem-solving, and process-definition skills.
- Ability to work in the Toronto office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
