Salary: $231,000 to $348,500 per year depending on location and experience.

What you will do

• Architect and build scalable telemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces to support a 10x data volume increase.
• Lead OpenTelemetry adoption and develop automated configurations for consistent data collection.
• Design platform governance tools for data management, cost allocation, and SLO implementation.
• Drive observability best practices and unify developer tooling and documentation.
• Automate infrastructure lifecycle using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Crossplane.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and serve as escalation point for complex production incidents.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States with ability to work hybrid in Seattle, Washington.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering focused on large-scale distributed systems and infrastructure automation.
• Deep expertise in observability principles and technologies including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, and OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python and strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and AWS.
