What you will do

  • Provide remote technical support for zSystems Software customers (e.g., Db2, IMS, CICS).
  • Specialize in problem determination and problem source identification for software tools.
  • Utilize technical and negotiation skills to prioritize and diagnose problems to resolution.
  • Communicate action plans effectively to customers or hirify.global representatives.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing technical support tools, procedures, and processes.

Requirements

  • Active student status is required for this position.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable with effective time management skills.
  • Strong technical background in computer systems.
  • Logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • English: B2 required (excellent communication skills, ability to speak and write).
  • Willingness to learn about z/OS operating systems and related z middleware applications.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Familiarity and/or experience with installing and configuring z/OS products (Unix System Services, RACF, TCP/IP).
  • Knowledge of JCL and various subsystems (e.g., Db2, CICS, IMS, WebSphere Liberty, MQ).
