Location: Hybrid in Cebu and Quezon City, Philippines

What you will do

• Administer and maintain Kafka clusters ensuring high availability and performance.
• Deploy and manage Confluent Platform using CFK on OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Implement Kafka security with SASL_SSL, RBAC, ACLs, and role bindings.
• Configure ClusterLink, Replicators, and Active-Passive clusters for cross-cluster communication.
• Integrate and manage Confluent Connectors including hirify.global MQ, JDBC, S3, and Snowflake.
• Collaborate with development teams on Python and Spring Boot Kafka applications and utilize CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.

Requirements

• Must be able to work IST hours (8 PM to 5 AM Philippines time).
• At least 5 years experience as Kafka Administrator and 2 years with CFK on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka security configurations including SASL_SSL, RBAC, ACLs.
• Experience with ClusterLink, Replicators, Active-Passive clusters, and Confluent Connectors.
• Familiarity with Python/Spring Boot Kafka applications and CI/CD automation tools.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to have

• Confluent Certified Administrator or equivalent certification.
• Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong scripting skills and knowledge of hybrid cloud and multi-region Kafka strategies.
