What you will do
- Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering systems applications under general supervision
- Develop test strategies for automated regression testing and follow secure coding practices
- Work iteratively in Agile Scrum teams delivering new products, features, and fixes
- Provide technical input to Product Owner and communicate issues clearly and timely
- Manage team day-to-day activities and career development
- Collaborate with remote teams worldwide and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies
Requirements
- Must be located in or around Abingdon, UK
- 4+ years of software development experience with Java and C++ in complex applications
- Strong understanding of design principles, best practices, and secure coding
- Experience with build pipeline tools like Gitlab and Agile Scrum methodology
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Eclipse RCP, OSGi, Swing, and SWT
- Understanding of machine learning technologies (Python, TensorFlow)
- Experience in Geophysics/Geology domain, especially Oil and Gas
- Agile Scrum certification and experience working with remote teams
- Advanced awareness of AI technologies and familiarity with cloud and microservices
