What you will do

• Develop and maintain IG’s FIX APIs to power institutional client connectivity.
• Deliver new product functionality as part of the IG Prime roadmap.
• Monitor and manage API services to ensure high performance, reliability, and resilience.
• Build test harnesses and increase automation across the FIX platform.
• Provide technical support to clients and internal FIX support teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve processes and service delivery.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong skills in concurrent and multithreaded programming.
• Experience with asynchronous systems, streaming, and messaging.
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework and Linux (including shell scripting).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• Experience developing external-facing APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted coding.
• Experience identifying development risks and building mitigations.
