TL;DR

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid: 3 days in office)

What you will do
- Develop and maintain IG’s FIX APIs to power institutional client connectivity.
- Deliver new product functionality as part of the IG Prime roadmap.
- Monitor and manage API services to ensure high performance, reliability, and resilience.
- Build test harnesses and increase automation across the FIX platform.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal FIX support teams.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to improve processes and service delivery.
Requirements
- Around 5 years of professional Java development experience.
- Strong skills in concurrent and multithreaded programming.
- Experience with asynchronous systems, streaming, and messaging.
- Proficiency with the Spring Framework and Linux (including shell scripting).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Experience developing external-facing APIs.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-assisted coding.
- Experience identifying development risks and building mitigations.
