Senior Android Software Engineer (Android)

Location: 100% remote; open to candidates inside Brazil. Work in your time zone.

Salary: $5,880–$7,350 USD per month.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and refine features for core Android applications across a range of mobile devices.
• Collaborate directly with product management to shape concepts and deliver customer-focused experiences.
• Ensure application performance, quality, responsiveness, and memory efficiency; identify bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Build and execute high-velocity A/B tests to improve business metrics and stay current with growth and personalization tools.
• Maintain code quality standards, introduce architectural improvements and refactorings, and write automated tests.
• Apply AI technologies and follow emerging AI/ML developments to improve productivity, quality, and innovation.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing commercial Android applications.
• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in computer science.
• Advanced knowledge of Java and Kotlin, plus Android tools, frameworks, and libraries.
• Experience with clean architecture, including MVI, MVVM, or MVP.
• Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Jetpack Compose, Android architecture components, and Retrofit.
• Experience with unit, integration, and instrumentation testing, RESTful APIs, Google design principles, and interface guidelines.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning; familiarity with Firebase APIs, push notifications, CI/CD tools, and asynchronous and multithreaded application concepts.
• Proficient understanding of Git and practical understanding of SOLID principles.
• Data-driven mindset, attention to detail, and an eye for design.
• Fluency in English and ability to work 100% remotely at a fast pace.
