What you will do

  • Partner with product teams to solve critical performance and observability challenges.
  • Investigate major incidents to identify architectural causes and drive systemic improvements.
  • Design and build reusable resilience patterns and tools for reliable services.
  • Own and advance observability strategy and tooling to monitor system health.
  • Mentor engineers to raise technical standards for performance and reliability.
  • Establish and lead Operational Excellence review processes to foster accountability and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Must have 10+ years of software engineering experience building complex production systems.
  • Experience or strong interest in performance, scalability, and observability.
  • Expertise in observability pillars: metrics, logs, and traces for distributed systems.
  • Strong mentoring and communication skills to influence teams without direct authority.
  • Ability to build robust, well-tested libraries and tools.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and driving projects in evolving environments.
