What you will do

• Architect, design, implement, and test embedded software across various platforms from low-power MCUs to mobile SOCs.
• Contribute to hardware design, part selection, interface definition, driver development, and debugging.
• Define and improve firmware development, debugging, and CI workflows.
• Develop software for interfacing embedded systems with PCs or network equipment for data collection and calibration.
• Lead integration and optimization of higher-level software components interfacing with embedded systems.
• Engage and direct partners to enhance embedded systems development capabilities.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco or Bellevue, United States
• 5+ years experience delivering software for complex embedded systems.
• Mastery of C/C++, Python, and firmware build and debug tools.
• Experience shipping wearable consumer products with custom sensors, real-time computing, and custom batteries.
• Experience with Bootloaders, Linux/AOSP, Zephyr/FreeRTOS, DSP/ISP, Bluetooth/Wifi/Ethernet, USB, and MIPI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with wearable electronics, computer vision, audio, or IoT applications.
• Experience with CI/CD infrastructure and machine learning frameworks deployment.
• Experience with Nordic, Qualcomm, embedded ML accelerators, ARM, or RISCV architectures.
