TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Customer Support): Providing technical support and resolving complex issues for millions of users with an accent on debugging, collaboration with engineering, and building internal support tools. Focus on troubleshooting, escalation management, and improving customer experience through technical resources and product feedback.

Location: San Francisco, CA with hybrid work format (4–5 days in office, some remote flexibility)

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 plus equity

What you will do

  • Respond to technical customer inquiries and support escalations via email and chat.
  • Debug complex issues related to hirify.global sites and APIs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to identify product improvements.
  • Build and maintain technical documentation and internal support tools.
  • Assist with bug triaging and monitor user-generated content for abuse or policy violations.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be able to work in San Francisco office 4–5 days per week
  • 1–2 years of experience in technical customer support or QA for technical support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills to explain complex topics to non-technical users.
  • Ability to take ownership and work proactively in a player-coach role.
  • English proficiency at least B2 (job posting in English).

Nice to have

  • Experience at early-stage startups with local and remote colleagues.
  • Familiarity with Intercom, Zendesk, Metabase, Stripe, Linear, or LaunchDarkly.
  • Technical degree or certifications.
  • Background in AI enablement or software development focused on customer happiness.
