2026 Canada Summer Internships - VFX (Game Development): Creating a wide range of real-time visual effects for in-game FX systems with an accent on utilizing principles of motion, anticipation, and dynamics. Location: In-person in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Interns living 150km+ away from the office location will have the option to opt into relocation services and receive a living stipend to supplement costs. Must be currently residing in Canada or open to relocating oneself to Canada.

Salary: $60,000 CAD annually

What you will do

• Work with in-game FX systems to create real-time visual effects (fire, smoke, water, electricity, explosions, etc).
• Utilize principles of motion, anticipation, dynamics, follow-through, and lighting to create dynamic effects.
• Enhance the visual storytelling experience through impactful VFX.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education or graduate program, graduating May 2026 – July 2027.
• Available to participate in a 12-week internship starting mid-May.
• Experience crafting real-time effects using Photoshop, Maya, or other in-game FX systems.
• Understanding of Unity, Unreal, or other game engines.
• Knowledge of 3D graphics, particle systems, physics, ribbons, and shaders.
• A resume and portfolio/reel link are required for consideration.
