What you will do

• Partner with engineering leaders to influence the domain roadmap and platform architecture, balancing business growth with long-term evolution.
• Identify systemic efficiency gaps and blockers to improve overall engineering ways of working.
• Lead the hands-on implementation of key platform features using Python.
• Empower teams to act as product custodians by consistently addressing foundational and production issues.
• Foster a high-trust, psychologically safe environment through mentoring and collaboration across the organization.
• Design and review RFCs and PoCs to raise the technical bar for the platform's evolution.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• Strong knowledge of database fundamentals, including OLAP vs. OLTP, persistence, replication, and clustering.
• Proficiency in SQL and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Deep understanding of release management and testing best practices to own the delivery pipeline.
• Excellent English communication skills for sharing complex design concepts with both technical and non-technical audiences.
