• Design and develop complex software systems for desktop platforms.
• Lead system design to translate complex requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
• Take full ownership of high-impact technical projects within the organization.
• Mentor and support fellow engineers through pairing, code reviews, and constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on desktop applications.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and the Qt framework for cross-platform development.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, including multi-tier applications, data pipelines, and concurrency.
• Experience with SQL and handling large datasets.
• Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA (Monday - Friday).

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in network programming (TCP/UDP, REST, gRPC).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools or automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX environments and shell scripting.
