What you will do

• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance Go microservices and APIs
• Contribute to backend architecture and platform improvements
• Lead database and service performance optimization efforts
• Participate in API and service architecture reviews
• Act as a technical lead for mid-sized Go microservice projects
• Collaborate asynchronously with a fully remote team

Requirements

• Must be located in the USA for this fully remote role
• 8+ years backend development experience with 4+ years in Go
• 3+ years PostgreSQL experience including schema design and performance tuning
• Experience with distributed backend systems, microservices, and APIs (REST, gRPC)
• Strong knowledge of Go internals, concurrency, and performance optimization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for asynchronous collaboration

Nice to have

• Experience with message queues, pub/sub, or event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes
