Senior Software Engineer (IAM)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid

What you will do

• Design and evolve the architecture of Identity and Access Management services across cloud environments.
• Develop backend components for authentication, authorization, identity management, and access control.
• Design REST APIs and integrations for multi-tenant systems operating at scale.
• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, new services, and components.
• Make architectural decisions focused on security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager and technical teams while supporting code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on system architecture design.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade backend services.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservice architectures, REST APIs, relational databases, and PostgreSQL.
• Practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, and JWT.
• Good knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• English proficiency sufficient for technical documentation and collaboration in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java or Go and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, policy engines, and fine-grained authorization models.
• Experience with MFA, SSO, service accounts, token management, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Redis, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenStack Keystone.
• Experience designing IAM solutions for multi-cloud or large SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS platforms.
