Senior Data Engineer (Knowledge Graph)

Location: Warsaw, Poland. Hybrid work combines working from home with on-site presence at clients or hirify.global offices for the majority of the week. Client-facing work may require travel.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable knowledge graph and graph-based data solutions.
• Translate ontologies and semantic models into production-ready graph implementations and data pipelines.
• Develop ingestion, transformation, and population pipelines for graph platforms such as Neo4j, Stardog, and GraphDB.
• Build and optimize graph queries and traversal logic using Cypher.
• Integrate knowledge graph solutions with cloud and enterprise data ecosystems such as BigQuery.
• Collaborate with ontologists, data engineers, AI engineers, architects, and client teams; contribute to solution design and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or a related field.
• Hands-on data engineering experience with exposure to knowledge graph or semantic data systems.
• Experience with Neo4j, Stardog, GraphDB, RDF, and OWL.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, system design, architecture, and scalable data pipelines.
• Experience with graph query languages such as Cypher and proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, modern data ecosystems, stakeholder collaboration, and technical ownership.
