What you will do

• Own and optimize DynamoDB workloads including data modeling, capacity strategy, and multi-region patterns.
• Design, deploy, and maintain DocumentDB and MongoDB clusters with sharding, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Leverage AWS services (S3, KMS, IAM, CloudWatch, DMS, Lambda) to build secure and observable data solutions.
• Implement automation-as-code for schema changes and operational tasks to reduce toil and errors.
• Establish observability and lead performance investigations and incident response.
• Collaborate with engineers on data access patterns and schema evolution with minimal downtime.

Requirements

• Must have hands-on senior expertise with DynamoDB in production.
• Experience with AWS MSK or Kafka for event-driven streaming use cases.
• Experience administering DocumentDB and/or MongoDB clusters.
• Strong AWS cloud fundamentals including IAM, KMS, S3, CloudWatch monitoring.
• Automation skills using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, AWS CLI, and SDKs.
• Clear English communication and collaborative mindset.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Database Specialty) or equivalent expertise.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and GitOps workflows.
• Exposure to container orchestration (ECS/EKS) and cloud-native data security.
• Experience with multi-region DocumentDB/MongoDB performance tuning.
