Salary: PLN44,000 - PLN44,000 gross monthly for Krakow and Poland.

What you will do

• Lead engineering for the credit vertical (loans, BNPL, credit cards), owning end-to-end delivery from architecture to production.
• Own the product and solution architecture with a key focus on quality control and code optimisation.
• Manage and scale distributed engineering teams across multiple locations.
• Partner closely with Product, Data, and Operations to define a high-impact roadmap and ship value fast.
• Drive technical excellence, performance, scalability, and reliability across all systems.
• Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent, setting a high bar and leading by example.

Requirements

• Experience leading and scaling engineering teams, preferably in fintech or high-growth tech companies.
• A technical background, ideally hands-on experience with backend systems, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• An ownership mindset to take full responsibility for delivery, quality, and team performance.
• Expertise in designing and owning product and solution architecture, with a keen eye for code quality and optimisation.
• A track record of building products from scratch and scaling them for millions of users.
• Expertise in data-driven decision-making and using metrics to drive engineering excellence.

Nice to have

• Experience in credit products, lending platforms, or BNPL services.
• A background working in a global, distributed engineering organisation.
• Familiarity with modern fintech compliance, security, and risk frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of machine learning applications in credit scoring or fraud detection.
