Senior Principal Field Application Engineer (Semiconductors)

Location: San Jose, United States; travel primarily across the US West Coast (10%) with occasional international travel.

What you will do

• Drive design wins, new-product adoption, and design-funnel objectives in strategic automotive and industrial accounts.
• Lead customer visits, technical product presentations, demonstrations, and product value-proposition deployment.
• Manage design-in campaigns, qualify opportunities, and position solutions against competing products.
• Own system block-diagram activities and coordinate technical, manufacturing, supply-chain, sales, product, and customer stakeholders.
• Capture customer and competitive insights to influence product definitions and roadmaps.
• Educate field sales engineers and customers on new technologies, product features, and business value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrification design for EV or industrial applications.
• Technical experience with power applications, including electrification, ECUs, BCMs, power supplies, or power management.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder-management, and strategy-execution skills.
• In-depth knowledge of the Americas semiconductor market and reference-design influence.
• Good knowledge of discrete semiconductors, including MOSFETs, ESD protection, logic, analog, and power-management ICs.
