Application Engineer

What you will do

• Act as subject-matter expert and technical consultant for wireless protocol testing.
• Support customer R&D labs with expertise in mobile communications protocols including 5G NR and LTE.
• Utilize data centric protocols such as TCP/IP, SIP/SDP, RTP, and RTCP in testing scenarios.
• Work with test equipment including radio communications testers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time for 1-2 week trips.

Requirements

• Must have at least 7 years of experience in the role or related occupation.
• 7 years experience in Python and object-oriented programming.
• 7 years experience with mobile communications protocols including 5G NR, LTE (Physical Layer, Layer 2, RRC, NAS).
• 7 years experience with data centric protocols including TCP/IP, SIP/SDP, RTP, RTCP.
• 7 years experience working with test equipment such as radio communications testers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
• Remote work allowed only within the U.S.
