What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux and Android-based firmware and kernel components for safety devices
• Work on low-level driver development, system bring-up, and OS feature implementation
• Collaborate with senior engineers, stakeholders, and external partners to improve device performance and reliability
• Participate in bootloader and kernel configuration tasks
• Analyze system performance and stability, identifying optimization opportunities
• Provide onsite support for new projects once or twice a year

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in embedded software development
• Experience with embedded Linux or Android-based systems
• Proficient in C and C++ programming
• Familiarity with Linux kernel or Android system architecture including drivers and build systems
• Comfortable working in Linux development environments with Git and build tools
• Willingness to provide onsite support once or twice a year
• English: B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with bootloaders and early system bring-up
• Debugging low-level Linux or Android issues
• Exposure to Qualcomm-based devices or other SoCs
• Interest in power-constrained device performance tuning
• Experience with ARM Cortex microcontrollers (NRF5x, STM32x)
