Location: Hybrid within the UK with onsite days in Cambridge office approx. 4 times per year

What you will do

• Define and implement high-quality lighting across environments, scenes, characters, and cinematics aligned with art direction.
• Establish and maintain the game’s lighting vision and technical benchmarks.
• Prototype and deliver visual targets enhancing gameplay readability and narrative intent.
• Balance artistic excellence with performance optimization across platforms.
• Collaborate with art and engineering teams to refine rendering features and lighting pipelines.
• Mentor junior artists and support their growth in lighting discipline.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the UK or able to work remotely within the UK with occasional onsite presence in Cambridge
• Portfolio showcasing high-quality real-time lighting in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Experience lighting AAA or high-quality game projects.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine or similar industry-standard engines.
• Strong artistic eye for color, contrast, tone, and composition.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
