What you will do
- Collaborate with Product teams to enhance revenue, retention, and engagement through A/B testing and insights analysis.
- Analyze player behavior to translate motivations and preferences into actionable gameplay improvements.
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines and game telemetry to ensure a reliable source of truth for BI.
- Develop and manage high-visibility dashboards used by game leadership and designers for strategic decisions.
- Optimize game economy and feature health through continuous tuning and analysis.
- Lead the design and improvement of fraud and bad actor detection models.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a quantitative field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally within gaming or product teams.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in data mining, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to explain complex data in simple terms.
- Must be located in or be able to work from Austin, TX or Toronto, Canada.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD).
- Experience using LLMs to automate analytics workflows and increase efficiency.
- Familiarity with Tableau and version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of poker gameplay, terminology, and social casino economies.
