Engineering Manager (Software)

Location: Global Remote; work from wherever you want

US base salary: $200,000–$250,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Directly manage an engineering team and help deliver user-focused product features.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Success to plan and execute the roadmap.
• Balance feature development, technical improvements, and bug fixes.
• Coach engineers, improve processes, remove delivery obstacles, and increase iteration speed.
• Make technical and project-execution decisions based on a deep understanding of the problems being solved.
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineering talent.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of engineering management experience or equivalent experience building and improving engineering teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, especially for asynchronous collaboration in a distributed team.
• Ability to diagnose project-execution issues across people, processes, and scope.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to translate product proposals and Figma designs into engineering requirements.
• Strong technical background in Clojure or frontend development with React and TypeScript.
• Ability to read code and technical designs, contribute to technical discussions, provide feedback, and coach engineers in a low-structure environment.
