Legal, Cyber & Artificial Intelligence Attorney, Vice President, New York/Dallas (AI)

Location: New York or Dallas, United States; the role may also be based in US or EMEA offices

Salary: USD 170,000–270,000 base salary per year, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Advise engineering teams and business units on AI regulation, governance, procurement, development, and deployment.
• Provide legal guidance on AI applications, models, personal-data processing, and the use of firm data for model training.
• Support the integration of AI into products and services, including assessment and mitigation of enterprise, platform, and third-party risks.
• Advise global affiliates on AI, privacy, data protection, data governance, cybersecurity, sourcing, and other technology law matters.
• Help build firmwide AI governance and control systems and manage AI-related risks.
• Support cyber, data, and technology incident response, including legal assessments, regulatory notifications, communications, and remediation.

Requirements

• Licensed and barred attorney.
• At least 5 years of experience as a technology attorney in a law firm or in-house environment.
• Substantive experience advising on AI, data protection, privacy, and broader technology law matters.
• Strong knowledge of the EU AI Act and GDPR is essential.
• Knowledge of AI regulation in financial services, cloud, outsourcing, and third-party risk management.
• Experience with cyber or data incident response, legal assessments, and regulatory notification requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing and conducting AI and data protection training.
