Backend Engineer, New Products (SaaS): Responsible for helping build and launch brand new products that directly impact customers' workflows. Focus on building the foundational blocks of their software and the team culture.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or Toronto

Salary: $133,320 – $303,600

What you will do

• Build technology that will transform an analog industry to improve the lives of millions of injury victims
• Be a key part of building the foundational blocks of their software and the team culture.
• Build, deploy, and work on our core software product, whereby you’ll tackle hard problems, explore and deliver solutions while working with key people across the organization
• Learn new technologies from the best.
• Work with the tech-stack: Python, Typescript, React, Postgres, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch.

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience with backend or frontend engineering, working with relational databases and/or other database technologies - we're hiring frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers for this team!
• Several years of industry experience building high-quality software, shipping production-ready code and infrastructure
• Ability to communicate technical ideas or issues in easy-to-understand and actionable terms
• Learn quickly and are seeking opportunities to work cross-functionally (including data engineering & DevOps) and with a diverse group of people
• Experience owning a project from start to finish and loves to drive a project across the finish line
• Engineering excellence - you’ve helped build what “great” looks like at scale (both product + team culture)

Nice to have

• Kubernetes experience is a plus!
