Senior Product Designer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada, with attendance at the Toronto office 3 days per week

Annual salary: $117,000–$143,000 CAD for Senior Product Designer I or $144,000–$176,000 CAD for Senior Product Designer II. Most new hires join at an impactful level of $130,000 or $160,000 CAD per year, respectively.

What you will do

• Own product design end to end, from discovery and problem framing through prototyping, iteration, and production-ready delivery.
• Design banking experiences for permissions, notifications, transactions, fraud workflows, and AI-driven cashflow insights.
• Create intuitive, refined interfaces with strong visual design, thoughtful user experience, and consistent cross-platform flows.
• Communicate design rationale through storytelling and artifacts to align product and engineering partners.
• Participate in design critiques, give and receive feedback, mentor peers, and help raise the team’s craft bar.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience with a record of shipping impactful work.
• Experience designing SaaS products and complex systems.
• Strong visual design and UX skills, including typography, hierarchy, layout, information architecture, and cross-platform flows.
• Ability to lead the full design process, including research, problem framing, prototyping, validation, and iteration.
• User-centered approach with experience conducting generative and evaluative research alongside product and data teams.
• Experience experimenting with AI tools for prototyping or user-facing experiences.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or other complex system domains.
• Experience designing permissions, notifications, or multi-tenant platform features.
• Familiarity with front-end development, motion design, or illustration.
• Experience mentoring or coaching design peers.
