Senior Technical Consultant – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)

Location: United States; remote. At least 10% travel is expected.

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year in on-target earnings, including base salary and any applicable target bonus.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, and validate VMware Cloud Foundation solutions, including VCF Fleet, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and Aria Suite.
• Define business and technical requirements for private and hybrid cloud solutions with clients.
• Design multi-site architectures, workload mobility, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Integrate VCF with third-party storage, networking, security, backup, monitoring, and automation platforms.
• Lead technical discussions, workshops, knowledge-transfer sessions, and client engagements.
• Develop technical documentation and best practices, mentor junior consultants, and support pre-sales activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of technical experience with VMware and supporting technologies.
• VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 Administrator or Architecture Certification required.
• Extensive VCF 9.0 design and deployment experience with vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and Aria Suite.
• Experience with VCF lifecycle management, automation, workload migration, upgrades, hardware platforms, and HCI solutions.
• Strong understanding of software-defined networking, security policies, enterprise storage, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Strong client-facing written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills; willingness to travel at least 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience with Elastic VMware Services on AWS or Azure VMware Solution.
• VCAP or equivalent VMware certifications.
