TL;DR
Solutions Architect - VMWare (VMware Cloud Foundation): Planning, deploying, managing, and operating VMware Cloud Foundation private cloud infrastructure with an accent on vSphere, vSAN, NSX networking, Aria platforms, and disaster recovery. Focus on designing scalable management and workload domains, solving complex customer infrastructure challenges, and leading consulting projects and VCF solution teams.
Location: US - Remote; occasional travel required.
Estimated annual pay range: $190,000–$250,000, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do
- Lead customer consulting projects focused on VMware Cloud Foundation private cloud solutions.
- Plan, deploy, manage, and operate VCF infrastructure, including vSphere, vSAN, networks, SDDC Manager, vCenters, NSX, and Aria platforms.
- Design and size infrastructure for management components and workload domains, including physical data center networks.
- Assess existing IT environments and develop strategies for VCF adoption and consumption.
- Resolve complex technical and operational challenges across VMware products and deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Mentor and manage consultants working on VCF solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience implementing and configuring vSphere environments.
- 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture or software engineering.
- Experience designing and deploying NSX, NSX migrations, microsegmentation, data center networks, VLANs, WANs, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with vSAN, Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs, Aria Automation, service catalogs, and Aria Automation Orchestrator.
- Senior-level experience designing and configuring disaster recovery solutions with Site Recovery Manager and/or VMware Live Recovery.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience, plus strong communication, leaderp, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
- VCAP-DCV Design and Deploy certification or equivalent deployment experience; VCDX-DCV is optional.
- 5+ years of VMware NSX experience or 10+ NSX deployment projects.
- CCNP or equivalent certification.
- VMware Cloud Foundation implementation experience, including VCF topology models, CloudBuilder, and SDDC Manager.
