What you will do

• Manage a team of 3 to 8 Software Engineers providing regular feedback and fostering their professional and technical growth.
• Build a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture, and conduct interviews to hire new team members.
• Work with engineering, product, and design leads to define a vision and strategy for the cross-functional team.
• Drive the delivery of the cross-functional team to meet business objectives and establish the best engineering practices to ensure high quality.
• Design, build, test, document, review, and maintain code in Go.
• Help scale the backend codebase while maintaining a high level of quality through strong testing methodologies and documentation.

Requirements

• You have already had a first successful experience as a manager, demonstrating your ability to lead, develop, and retain talent.
• You have strong experience as a software engineer, proficiency in Go or Ruby is a plus, and you have been exposed to architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications.
• You collaboratively lead the evolution of your team, setting clear goals, and helping team members grow professionally.
• You have excellent communication skills, which help you diffuse knowledge across teams and align people to work successfully on their projects.
• You are fluent in English.
