Staff Application Platform Engineer (DX)

Location: Remote

Salary: $210,000–$270,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Build developer tools and abstractions that improve engineering productivity.
• Design, develop, and optimize secure, reliable, and scalable application platform services.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across the technology stack.
• Improve platform resilience and efficiency as products scale.
• Collaborate across teams to establish and implement engineering best practices.
• Own platform projects end to end, from architecture and ideation through deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in platform or backend engineering, or equivalent expertise.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript and experience with Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Experience leading projects independently from architecture through production.
• Track record of building secure, reliable, and high-performance platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence technical direction across teams.
• Ability to make strategic technical tradeoffs with company-wide impact.
