Lead Platform Engineer (Web3)

Location: North America; fully remote

hirify.global builds core infrastructure for Solana, including APIs, webhooks, and indexing tools used by crypto applications, trading firms, wallets, and other developers.

What you will do

• Set the Platform roadmap and own outcomes across bare metal, builds and deployments, observability, SRE, security, and node operations.
• Build the SRE practice, including SLOs, alerting standards, incident command, on-call health, postmortems, and incident automation.
• Lead the observability overhaul by migrating from Datadog to ClickHouse and Grafana.
• Standardize software build and deployment processes across machines and engineering teams.
• Drive fleet strategy, capacity planning, provider relationships, and cost analysis.
• Hire, mentor, and grow Platform engineers while partnering with product engineering teams in a remote, async-heavy environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering, including experience as a technical lead or engineering manager.
• Deep experience operating production infrastructure at scale, including meaningful bare metal experience.
• Experience building SRE practices around SLOs, incident management, and postmortem culture.
• Strong observability expertise across metrics, logs, and tracing, including observability-stack design or migration.
• Solid security fundamentals covering access control, secrets, and infrastructure hardening.
• Strong Linux, networking, distributed systems, and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience at a high-scale B2B infrastructure company such as a cloud, CDN, or edge platform.
• Experience with ClickHouse or other high-volume observability backends.
• Blockchain node operations experience.
• Rust experience.
• Experience building a Platform team from an early stage.
