Senior Backend JavaScript Developer (DCA CSM Team) (Node.js)

Location: Hybrid in Israel; fully remote for candidates who are not from Israel

What you will do

• Own feature development end to end, from design and implementation through production rollout and ongoing improvements.
• Build and operate scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services in a microservices environment.
• Participate in system design, architecture planning, and technical decisions.
• Develop, debug, and tune asynchronous message-driven components using Redis Streams.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders while keeping current with engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on backend JavaScript and Node.js development.
• Proven experience building and maintaining SaaS applications and/or production backend services.
• Experience with microservices architecture, including service boundaries, APIs, and reliability patterns.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Redis, including Redis Streams or similar publish/subscribe and stream-processing technologies.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
• Good understanding of system design fundamentals, including APIs, data modeling, performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake and data pipelines or analytics.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-based production environments.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and additional NoSQL technologies.
• Experience with observability tooling, including logging, metrics, and tracing, and with incident response.
