Senior Backend Python Developer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Jerusalem, Israel

What you will do

• Design and develop large-scale, cloud-based backend services and data processing platforms for a next-generation Data Platform.
• Build scalable, high-performance solutions using microservices architecture.
• Own features and services from architecture and implementation through production delivery.
• Explore and integrate modern technologies, including LLM-powered applications and AI agents.
• Collaborate with engineers, solve complex technical challenges, and improve engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience, including strong Python skills and experience building scalable, distributed systems.
• Experience with databases, microservices, containerized applications, and cloud environments; AWS experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar.
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and experience delivering production-grade software.

Nice to have

• Experience building LLM-powered applications and AI agents, including tool calling, workflow automation, and production deployment.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, or similar agent frameworks and platforms.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, ETL pipelines, Spark, Kafka, or distributed data processing.
