Senior Business Analyst (SAP Finance)

Location: Bucharest, Romania. The role uses a balanced mix of on-site meetings and home office.

What you will do

• Act as a strategic Business Analysis partner between business and IT, advising stakeholders and supporting impact assessments and decision-making.
• Analyze complex requirements and translate them into functional and technical concepts aligned with business objectives, architecture principles, and platform strategy.
• Design scalable solutions and optimize business processes, applications, operating models, and finance-related workflows.
• Drive IT initiatives and work packages from requirements through implementation and release readiness.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Developers, QA, Agile teams, and external partners on SAP and Dynamics integrations.
• Identify opportunities for automation and digital innovation, while mentoring and coaching Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and project teams.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Business Analysis, requirements engineering, and business process optimization.
• Good understanding of SAP Finance processes and related end-to-end business workflows; experience or familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements, with a solid understanding of enterprise applications, solution design, and digital transformation.
• Technical understanding of cloud platforms, APIs, integration technologies, event-driven architectures, and messaging technologies.
• Experience with system integration, end-to-end solution design, quality assurance, functional validation, acceptance, and release readiness.
• Understanding of application operations, incident management, and change management processes.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, mentoring, and coaching skills.
• Proactive, consulting-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership. Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of industry-specific business processes and end-to-end operational workflows, particularly in Finance.
• Familiarity with modern application development and UX concepts.
• Relevant certifications or project experience in Business Analysis, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, enterprise applications, integration, or digital transformation.
