IT-Project Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid work with regular office attendance of approximately three days per week

What you will do

• Define, plan, facilitate, and complete medium- and large-scale IT projects using agile methodologies, including Scrum and SAFe.
• Act as Agile Coach and Project Manager for an agile development team, including coordination and management of the project backlog.
• Create project charters and effort estimates for scoping and budget approval, then initialize projects and staff project teams.
• Communicate with business and IT stakeholders, align neighboring projects, and manage diverging interests.
• Manage project budgets, reporting, delivery timelines, goals, risks, and issues.
• Develop the global Claims application landscape together with the business within a changing IT environment.

Requirements

• Several years of IT project management experience, preferably in application development, with in-depth knowledge of the software development and product life cycle.
• Demonstrable experience with agile project management methodologies such as Scrum.
• Excellent communication skills and strong experience managing diverse stakeholder interests, setting priorities pragmatically, and maintaining cost awareness.
• A track record of successful implementations that delivered measurable business value.
• Consulting and collaborative working style, with a commitment to accountability and knowledge sharing.
• Good understanding of reinsurance and/or Claims core business processes.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including Boards and Backlogs, or similar tools.
• University degree, preferably in Computer Engineering, IT, or a similar qualification.
• Willingness to work regularly from the Munich office and collaborate in person approximately three days per week.
• Business English required.
