Intern Consultant Data Science and AI (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Participate in end-to-end data science projects, including stakeholder communication, dataset exploration, reporting, and applying statistical or machine-learning methods.
• Implement traditional data science and generative AI use cases to support business units.
• Contribute to scalable data products, analytical models, and reporting solutions for insurance analytics.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and IT colleagues in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Develop and contribute ideas on emerging data, analytics, and artificial intelligence topics.

Requirements

• Master’s studies or the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline, including business administration or economics with a quantitative focus.
• Strong academic record, passion for AI and data science, and a solid theoretical and methodological foundation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in complex datasets.
• Structured, reliable, and independent approach to work, plus strong communication and presentation skills.
• Initial experience applying AI and machine-learning theory in practice, preferably with Python or R.
• Highly motivated and hands-on.
• Students from outside the EU require a German residence or work permit.
• The first master’s degree must not have been completed before or during the entire internship.

Nice to have

• Consulting or project management experience.
• Experience with software tools for data visualization, data engineering, data science, and AI, such as Power BI.
