(Senior) Data Scientist (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Own the implementation, performance, and continuous improvement of prescriptive models supporting inventory and procurement decisions.
• Work with traders to translate complex business challenges into quantitative problem formulations and explain recommended solutions in business terms.
• Collaborate with product, data, engineering, and business teams to deliver production-ready decision-support tools.
• Extend optimization and decision science capabilities into areas such as stochastic modelling, pricing, and demand forecasting.
• Contribute to the Data, Analytics & AI roadmap through technical initiatives that improve analytical services.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of applied experience as a Data Scientist or machine learning practitioner in an industry or enterprise environment solving real business challenges.
• Practical expertise in advanced quantitative methods, including machine learning, mathematical modelling, optimization, simulation, operations research, or similar disciplines.
• Hands-on experience across the data science model lifecycle: development, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to discuss end-to-end solution design and architecture and integrate predictive or prescriptive analytics into operational tools or workflows.
• Expertise with Python, including pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn; SQL for data wrangling; and software engineering tools such as Git and Docker.
• Strong analytical translation and problem-solving skills for turning ambiguous business requirements into analytical questions, solution designs, and measurable business impact.
• Collaborative and proactive communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse business and technical roles in an international environment.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Applied operations research or optimization modelling for enterprise inventory or procurement decisions, including Python-based solvers such as CVXPY or PuLP.
• Experience with deep learning or reinforcement learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow for decision-making, recommendation, or optimization.
• Experience modelling uncertainty or stochasticity in economic or operations contexts, including price, supply, demand, or inventory management.
• Experience developing and deploying data science models in cloud environments; Azure Databricks is used primarily, with AWS or GCP experience also valued.
• Experience with AI or agentic developer tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
