Sr Director, SW Product Management (Semiconductor Software)

Location: Oregon, United States of America. Full-time position requiring proof of the right to work in the United States and authorization to access export-controlled technology, or the ability to obtain required export licenses or approvals.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, release planning, and launch plans for software products supporting datacenter semiconductor IP.
• Define SDK, toolchain, compiler, debugger, simulator, firmware, board-support package, driver, middleware, operating-system enablement, and developer-tool requirements.
• Analyze customer workflows from IP evaluation and SoC integration through software porting, bring-up, validation, performance optimization, and production deployment.
• Engage customers, partners, developers, open-source communities, cloud providers, and ecosystem maintainers to validate concepts and prioritize improvements.
• Coordinate software, hardware, architecture, applications, quality, silicon milestones, reference platforms, and customer programs.
• Establish developer-experience and product metrics, communicate trade-offs and risks, and support strategic evaluations, design wins, and production programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of product management, product strategy, or technical program leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience owning software products for semiconductors, embedded systems, or datacenter infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of embedded or systems-level software, including firmware, BSPs, device drivers, operating-system enablement, or compiler toolchains.
• Experience defining and shipping developer-facing products such as SDKs, APIs, or developer tools and growing their adoption.
• Experience managing and developing product managers or equivalent product leaders.
• Strong understanding of silicon development lifecycles, including architecture definition, pre-silicon enablement, validation, tape-out, and volume ramp.
• Experience with datacenter or AI/ML software stacks, cloud or hyperscale customers, and server-class processors, accelerators, or development boards.
• Experience with software security, supply-chain security, secure boot, firmware updates, partner ecosystems, and software licensing or pricing models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
