Senior Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid schedule with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays and remote flexibility for the remainder of the week.

Salary: $93,500–$116,800 CAD annually, plus variable compensation including short- and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for assigned business areas with minimal supervision.
• Analyze income statements, balance sheets, business KPIs, and Product and Channel P&Ls for management reviews.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends and risks, and recommend actions to business partners.
• Build reports and dashboards in Workday Adaptive Planning, maintain FP&A data and models, and train users.
• Automate and streamline monthly, quarterly, and annual processes using AI tools.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, and other departments on reporting, analysis, efficiency opportunities, and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related finance role at a mid-size private or public company.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud-based ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with cube-based FP&A platforms such as Adaptive Planning, Prophix, Vena, Anaplan, or Oracle Hyperion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a SharePoint environment.
• Strong financial modelling, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills, including the ability to work under pressure and meet public company reporting timelines.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and turn financial analysis into clear recommendations.
• Successful candidates must complete a background and credit check.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing or consumer electronics.
• Understanding of extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes within FP&A data models.
• Knowledge or exposure to US GAAP or IFRS.
