Senior Systems Engineering Analyst (Network)

What you will do

• Engineer, maintain, and improve core, campus, wireless, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, firewall, load-balancing, data center, and cloud network services.
• Translate approved architecture into detailed designs, automation, documentation, and supportable operational solutions.
• Improve reliability through observability, incident response, root cause analysis, on-call participation, and lifecycle management.
• Identify risks, capacity needs, technical debt, and modernization opportunities to inform service roadmaps.
• Partner across Technology Services, mentor engineers, share knowledge, and influence technical decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, network operations, or a closely related field.
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, wireless, network segmentation, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, firewalls, load balancing, packet analysis, BGP, and related routing protocols.
• Experience supporting complex campus, WAN, data center, cloud, and hybrid network environments.
• Practical experience with Python or comparable scripting languages, APIs, Git, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD or GitOps practices.
• Experience with monitoring, telemetry, logging, alerting, and meaningful network performance measures.
• Ability to translate architecture into practical solutions and troubleshoot complex issues spanning multiple platforms and teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
• Curiosity, continuous learning, and active use of emerging network, cloud, and automation technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Arista, BlueCat DNS/DHCP/IPAM, Palo Alto, Kemp, Aruba, or Citrix networking technologies.
• Experience with network connectivity in AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable cloud environments.
• Experience with network automation, configuration compliance, automated testing, and reliability-focused operating practices.
• Experience in regulated or highly available environments and knowledge of ITIL, Agile, Lean, or SRE principles.
• Relevant networking, cloud, security, or automation certifications.
