Mechanical Contracts Manager (HVAC)

Location: Remote, associated with Manchester, Greater Manchester, England

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per year, plus £6,000 car allowance and uncapped bonus potential of £7,000–£15,000 OTE.

hirify.global operates in the building, construction and infrastructure sector and is hiring for its growing operations department.

What you will do

• Monitor and review tender documentation for commercial HVAC projects.
• Manage contracts from procurement through completion, ensuring delivery within timescales and budget.
• Oversee HVAC and mechanical works, including 3/4-pipe air-conditioning installations, with a focus on safety and quality.
• Procure and manage subcontractors and oversee contract variations and financial performance.
• Manage team competence and individual performance.
• Build relationships with new and existing clients to support repeat business.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a contracting environment, including 3 years at management level.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with project values from £200,000 up to £1,000,000.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems design and installation.
• Strong commercial understanding of M&E contracting as both a principal contractor and subcontractor.
• Experience working with and managing subcontractors to achieve strong results.
• Strong internal and external communication skills.
