Lead Project Manager (Civils)

Location: Glasgow, Inverness, Perth or Aberdeen, Scotland, with regular travel to site locations in the north of Scotland; hybrid and site-based working options.

Salary: £68,100–£102,100 plus car or car allowance, performance-related bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead delivery of civil and building packages within major transmission infrastructure and substation projects.
• Manage Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, multidisciplinary teams, external contractors and consultants.
• Oversee project refinement, construction and commissioning in line with regulatory requirements and high safety standards.
• Manage relationships with contractors, stakeholders and local communities to support sustainable project delivery.
• Provide regular site-based leadership and drive progress and SHEQ outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience leading project teams through the delivery phase of large infrastructure projects at a senior project-execution level.
• Experience delivering civil and/or building projects; electricity-network experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong commercial experience managing multi-million-pound contracts exceeding £100m; NEC contract experience is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced understanding of project management systems and governance for large-project execution.
• Engineering, construction or project management qualification or degree, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Professional registration or qualification such as Chartered Project Professional or Chartered Engineer, or progress towards an equivalent qualification.
