Freelance Recruitment Partner (Japan)

Location: Fully remote; work from anywhere. Opportunities involve placing Japanese-speaking talent into Malaysia.

Compensation: $1,500 USD per successful hire, with up to 40% commission on successful placements.

What you will do

• Source and engage high-quality Japanese-speaking candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, social media, referrals, and networking.
• Conduct candidate screening and qualification interviews.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines and ATS records.
• Coordinate interviews and candidate communications.
• Work with the Service Delivery Team and Managing Director on current and future global hiring projects.

Requirements

• Fluent Japanese and English, written and spoken.
• Previous recruitment, sourcing, or talent acquisition experience.
• Strong sourcing and networking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to identify and engage talent within Japan and Malaysia.

Nice to have

• International recruitment experience.
• Existing Japanese candidate networks, language communities, university contacts, hospitality or entertainment networks, customer service talent pools, or relocation experience.
• Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment technology.
